I scrolled through my facebook news feeds, and as I read the title for one I immediately went into defense mode. I took a moment and went to the link provided, and as I read I felt a feeling that I couldn't figure out. I continued to think about this blog posted through out my day to day activities. Finally I suddenly realized that this gentleman is asking questions, trying to understand, and most of all praying for an understanding as much as I have through out my past. I felt the need to respond to him, and let him know my opinion. The following is the blog that grabbed my attention, and then caused me several hours of puzzlement and days of prayer.

Question: " However, there are other questions that I’m sure some people will ask. For example, if God wanted us to regard same-sex relations as abominable in the past, what was his reason for wanting us to have that view, and why does he no longer require us to have that view now?"
My answer: Take a moment to understand the time or era of which God made these rules. Same-Sex relations were being used to rape and for lust, but not out of love. In the same way God stated that marriage is between one man and one woman. Why did he do this? Once again the human nature towards lust was causing pain, and distroying the purpose of marriage. Men were married to multiple women, women were considered as property, and this left no room for love to nurture. God seen these things and did what was necessary to protect us from ourselves. Today married couples participate in swinging, porn, strip clubs, and many more lustful activities. Look at the number of married couples whom have been married for years with no prior relationships. Consider the number of divorces occurring daily.
God has told us to love one another but we are to busy judging to listen. God has changed His rules for His children as we can see from the Old Testiment to the New Testiment, but He didn't stop talking to us after the bible was written and published. As parents we change the rules for our children as they grow so why would Our Father not do the same? Perhaps this is another lesson in listening, and another step of hope for God to see us beginning to love one another.
Everyone that knows me knows the struggle I have had with the amazing love that I have for my partner, but I realized God loves me and gave me my soul mate. Everyone that is around us for even a little while sees our love some before I even acknowledged it myself.
I ask that you ask yourself only one question: when would God ever have a problem with Love?
